My official, third-person "author bio" usually reads something like this:

Matt Galletta lives in upstate New York with his wife, daughter, and cats. His work has appeared in [here I namedrop a couple magazines]. He brews his own beer so he never has to leave the house.

It's mostly true. Sometimes I add a line about having an "honorary MFA from the fictitious Matt Galletta Institute for the Written Word," though that might be a little too sarcastic.

I write fiction and poems. You probably figured that out by now. I do in fact homebrew beer. I spend a lot of time with my daughter. I like getting email from people. I think you're pretty cool for finding my site.
